Three Reasons Why Engagement Sessions Help You Get Better Wedding Photos
In the midst of wedding planning, many newly engaged couples view engagement sessions as a waste of time and money. Now, of course, as a photographer, I disagree for a plethora of reasons.
The Importance Of Engagement Sessions
While there are many reasons as to why an engagement session is a worthwhile investment, I will cover the 3 reasons that I find most important. Because not only are engagement sessions worth it, but they can also directly impact your wedding photos in the best of ways.
1. YOUR COMFORT LEVEL IN FRONT OF A CAMERA
Many couples and individuals don’t have experience with having professional photos taken prior to planning their wedding. The first time you have somewhat of a stranger in front of you with a lens pointing in your direction, it can be intimidating. Engagement sessions help you to get comfortable in front of the camera and with the process as a whole before the big day. This way by the time your wedding day rolls around, you are already a pro in front of the camera.
2. YOUR COMFORT LEVEL WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Getting to know your photographer better so you don’t feel like you have a complete stranger photographing you on your wedding day is key. Engagement sessions help so much with getting you comfortable around them and strengthening that bond.
3. CONFIDENCE SAVES TIME
Since you will be experienced with the two above items- you won’t spend time second-guessing everything on the day of your wedding. Having that comfort level will end up saving time when it comes to taking portraits so you can spend more time with your family and guests!
WHILE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS ARE OPTIONAL, THEY ARE SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HIGHLY CONSIDER WHEN PLANNING YOUR BIG DAY TO BRING YOU COMFORT AS WELL AS SOME SWEET PHOTOS FROM THIS SPECIAL SEASON OF LIFE.
Three Reasons You Should have a Destination Wedding
We have all dreamt of our perfect wedding day whether it’s in the mountains with a few family members or on a beach with everyone you’ve ever known.

Why You Should Have A Destination Wedding
Scroll down below to see a little bit into why you should have a destination wedding.
01. Planning
In most cases planning a destination wedding is wayyy easier than planning a big, traditional wedding. That may shock some of you but it’s true! Typically, destination weddings are smaller and the fewer the people, the easier everything is!
02. Cost
They are also typically less expensive! As I said before if your destination wedding is smaller that is less food, time, and vendors that you have to pay for. You can have a destination wedding that is just as good as a traditional one for half the price.
03. The Adventure
Okay, but who doesn’t love having an excuse to travel? Having a destination wedding allows you to go anywhere you have ever wanted to go to get married. You can fly out to Hawaii or even Italy if you wanted to! Many couples even combine their destination weddings with their honeymoon. You can get married at that place and spend however long you want there and celebrate it as your honeymoon without having to plan another trip.
WITH THE ENDLESS PERKS THAT COME WITH HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING, IT IS A GREAT OPTION FOR MOST TO CREATE A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE FOR THEIR WEDDING DAY!
Elevate Your Wedding: Luxury Trends for an Exquisite Celebration
When it comes to celebrating your love, there's no such thing as going too far to create an unforgettable experience. Luxury weddings are all about indulgence, opulence, and making a statement.
Luxury Trends
1. Opulent Decor and Floral Extravagance
Luxury weddings are synonymous with extravagant decor and breathtaking floral arrangements. Consider incorporating opulent elements like crystal chandeliers, gold accents, and lush, oversized floral centerpieces. Transform your venue into a fairy tale setting that leaves a lasting impression on your guests.
2. Exclusive Venue Selection
The venue sets the stage for your luxury wedding, so choose wisely. Consider historic estates, luxurious ballrooms, or picturesque castles that exude timeless charm. Destination weddings at exotic locations can also add an air of adventure and exclusivity to your celebration.
3. Customized Guest Experience
In the world of luxury weddings, personalization is key. Create a bespoke experience for your guests with custom monogrammed details, welcome gifts, and even personalized menu options. Make each guest feel like a VIP attendee.
4. Statement Entertainment
Dazzle your guests with extraordinary entertainment options. From live bands and celebrity DJs to acrobatic performers and fireworks displays, luxury weddings are all about creating unforgettable moments that leave a lasting impression.
5. Haute Couture Bridal Fashion
For the bride and groom, luxury weddings call for haute couture fashion. Consider custom-designed wedding attire, stunning jewelry, and even wardrobe changes throughout the celebration. Make a grand entrance that will be talked about for years to come.
6. Culinary Delights
Indulge your guests with gourmet dining experiences. Collaborate with renowned chefs to curate a menu that tantalizes the taste buds. Wine pairings and specialty cocktails can further elevate the culinary journey.
7. Lavish Photo and Video Coverage
Preserve the memories of your luxury wedding with top-tier photography and videography services. Choose professionals who specialize in capturing the elegance and emotion of high-end celebrations. Your wedding album should be a work of art.

Seven Things Your Wedding Photographer Does That You Didn’t Know About
Unveiling the Secrets: 7 Eye-Opening Things Your Wedding Photographer Does Behind the Scenes. Discover the hidden magic and expertise that goes into capturing your special day.
The Job Of A Wedding Photographer
A fact that many don’t realize: wedding photographers wear many hats. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes for our own business’ and beyond that, there is a lot that we do for your wedding day that you may not realize.
So, today, I wanted to share some of those things that your wedding photographer does that you may have not known. This way you have some insight as to what all goes into your investment when you hire your wedding photographer!
1. GIVING IT THEIR ALL ON YOUR WEDDING DAY
Capturing a wedding is a big deal. It’s a momentous responsibility and one that I take incredibly seriously. It is one of the biggest days of your life- one that you will cherish for the rest of your years. As time goes on, memories fade and so having beautiful images to remember your day is important.
Giving it my all on a wedding day and making sure I am fully prepared, capturing everything to the smallest of details and helping in any way I can is one of the ways I show up.
2. TIMELINE CREATION/SYNCING & EXECUTION
It is important first and foremost that we can go with the flow. Because, on your wedding day, anything can happen and so being flexible is an important thing for us wedding photographers to do. With that being said, having a plan and knowing when things are taking place helps me to plan for anything that can go wrong and be prepared for it.
If you have a planner- I connect with them and create a photography timeline to help everything go as smoothly as possible.
3. CONNECTING WITH OTHER VENDORS
Connecting with other vendors is an essential thing that I do as it helps to ensure a teamwork environment is established for your day. Your vendors are all there to help your day run smoothly and to help your dreams come to fruition. There are likely a lot of moving pieces and so making sure that I connect with vendors, helps everything run like a well oiled machine.
4. PREPPING FOR THE DETAILS
Coming up with a plan on how I will capture all of the details is another thing I am responsible for. Every little thing from your flowers, to your rings, to your decorations, everything deserves to be captured.
I want you to have a complete gallery of your day to look back on including every single little piece that went into planning and prepping. So, capturing all of that and making sure I have it all rounded up is something I pay close attention to.
5. LOCATION & VENUE SCOUTING
Every venue and location is different. Making sure that we get the most out of the location or venue is important and it helps for me to do some scouting. This means paying a visit before the big day so I can see where the lighting is the best, where the photo ops are and coming up with a plan for it all.
6. BEING PREPARED FOR EVERYTHING
I am there to be your wing woman. If you need help fixing your hair mid- day, adjusting your veil and so on, I am there and up for it all. I always make sure I am prepared for every situation so that I can help in any way possible to make any bumps in the road get smoothed out.
7. HOLD SPACE FOR YOU TO HAVE A CALM AND EFFECTIVE DAY
Finding little pockets for you to have some “stillness” in your day is another aspect that I put attention to. Whisking you away for some one on one time during portraits or a first look provides that. Your day will be a lot of hustle and bustle and so finding moments like this where you’re able to be still and take it all in is a must.
